Put it into practice
- Inspect the source screenshot's orientation and shape.
- Choose a compatible frame.
- Compare fit and fill with all navigation visible.
What this looks like
A tall mobile capture is placed in a portrait phone rather than stretched into a tablet.
A detail to keep clear
A familiar device silhouette does not guarantee that every screenshot fits it without cropping.
Using MockupX
Device frames, output dimensions and source screenshot dimensions are separate choices. A phone frame on a square canvas is useful for social sharing; it is not automatically an accepted app-store upload. Check orientation, fit and output pixels independently.
Check the result
Keep the original screenshot, then review the exported file at the size where people will see it. Check the message, the visible interface and the final crop separately. For a handoff, record the destination and the approved file so another person can distinguish the final version from a draft.
