PHONE & TABLET MOCKUPS

Place a portrait phone on a square canvas

A square canvas leaves room beside a phone for a short message or visual breathing space. Keep the phone large enough to recognize the feature.

Put it into practice

  1. Select a square output frame.
  2. Center the phone or offset it with a deliberate text area.
  3. Test the result as a small thumbnail.

What this looks like

WORKED EXAMPLE

A single phone and a two-word headline form a readable feed card.

A detail to keep clear

A square output is a composition choice, not proof of acceptance by every social placement.

Using MockupX

Device frames, output dimensions and source screenshot dimensions are separate choices. A phone frame on a square canvas is useful for social sharing; it is not automatically an accepted app-store upload. Check orientation, fit and output pixels independently.

Check the result

Keep the original screenshot, then review the exported file at the size where people will see it. Check the message, the visible interface and the final crop separately. For a handoff, record the destination and the approved file so another person can distinguish the final version from a draft.
