APP-STORE STORYTELLING

Check for watermarks before submitting store visuals

Inspect the actual exported file for any watermark before deciding it is ready for submission. Account and export settings affect the result.

Put it into practice

  1. Export a test image with the intended account.
  2. Open the downloaded file and inspect its edges and content.
  3. Review store requirements and your plan before final delivery.

What this looks like

WORKED EXAMPLE

A free-plan draft is useful for review but is checked again before final listing submission.

A detail to keep clear

Do not promise watermark-free output from a plan that adds a watermark.

Using MockupX

Store specifications are maintained by Apple and Google and can change. Check the relevant console's current requirements for the device family and asset type. MockupX creates images; it does not submit listings, validate every policy or guarantee approval.

Check the result

Keep the original screenshot, then review the exported file at the size where people will see it. Check the message, the visible interface and the final crop separately. For a handoff, record the destination and the approved file so another person can distinguish the final version from a draft.
