SCREENSHOT PREPARATION

Capture small UI text without making it the whole design

Small interface text needs enough source resolution, but not every label belongs in the marketing message. Separate proof of the interface from the headline explaining it.

Put it into practice

  1. Capture the relevant panel at a readable size.
  2. Use a short external headline for the benefit.
  3. View the final composition at its expected display width.

What this looks like

WORKED EXAMPLE

A feature screenshot shows a filter control while the caption explains the saved time.

A detail to keep clear

Avoid enlarging isolated text until it misrepresents the actual interface proportions.

Using MockupX

MockupX accepts pasted, dropped and uploaded images. Screen capture depends on browser support and your permission. The phone-transfer flow uses a temporary upload session. Prepare your source image before decorating it: a frame cannot recover unreadable text or remove sensitive information for you.

Check the result

Keep the original screenshot, then review the exported file at the size where people will see it. Check the message, the visible interface and the final crop separately. For a handoff, record the destination and the approved file so another person can distinguish the final version from a draft.
