SCREENSHOT PREPARATION

Move a phone screenshot into a desktop mockup workflow

The phone-upload flow connects a temporary transfer session to the desktop editor. Keep both devices available until the image appears in the intended slot.

Put it into practice

  1. Open phone upload from the desktop editor.
  2. Follow the displayed transfer instructions on your phone.
  3. Confirm the received image and remove an accidental upload before continuing.

What this looks like

WORKED EXAMPLE

A mobile-app capture is transferred to a browser-based composition without emailing it to yourself.

A detail to keep clear

A temporary transfer session is not a permanent image library or backup.

Using MockupX

MockupX accepts pasted, dropped and uploaded images. Screen capture depends on browser support and your permission. The phone-transfer flow uses a temporary upload session. Prepare your source image before decorating it: a frame cannot recover unreadable text or remove sensitive information for you.

Check the result

Keep the original screenshot, then review the exported file at the size where people will see it. Check the message, the visible interface and the final crop separately. For a handoff, record the destination and the approved file so another person can distinguish the final version from a draft.
