BROWSER & DESKTOP VISUALS

Prepare browser mockups for a website handoff

Deliver an image with a clear intended placement and enough resolution for that placement. Keep the original screenshot available for later revisions.

Put it into practice

  1. Record the target page and display width.
  2. Export and inspect the image at normal scale.
  3. Provide the source capture and a short description of its message.

What this looks like

WORKED EXAMPLE

A designer supplies a hero image plus a narrower alternate for a mobile layout.

A detail to keep clear

A flattened mockup is not editable HTML or a responsive component.

Using MockupX

Browser framing communicates that the image shows a web product. Choose the browser appearance and adjust image sizing in MockupX, but use the original screenshot to decide which content matters. Decorative browser chrome does not make the underlying interface interactive.

Check the result

Keep the original screenshot, then review the exported file at the size where people will see it. Check the message, the visible interface and the final crop separately. For a handoff, record the destination and the approved file so another person can distinguish the final version from a draft.
